• Founding members Ben and Tim Tonak are originally from Wyoming.
• The Tonak brothers moved to Denver in 2004, where after some band lineup changes, they met current band members Nick Fiore and Nate Mender.

• kosmøs spent two years recording their debut album Ways of Letting Go at Maximum-Joy Studios (formerly Avalanche) in Denver. Famous for its drum sound, the facility has been host to bands like INXS, The Pretenders. Kenny Loggins and The Rolling Stones. During the recording of kosmos’ album, members of the band had a running joke of playing or singing riffs from Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone” during line checks.
• Ed Brooks of RFI/CD mastered kosmøs’ album. Brooks mastered Death Cab For Cutie’s Transatlanticism, and a series of live albums from Pearl Jam, among other things.
• Nick Fiore, currently drumming for the band, has toured nationally and internationally playing with and opening for such artists as Geoff Tate (Queensryche), Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big, Racer-X), Meat Puppets, Jesus Lizard, 7 Seconds, Faith No More, Fact Meets Fiction, and other artists.
